Latest developments in pultrusion of photovoltaic frames and brackets

Photovoltaic frames and brackets are slowly shifting from traditional metal materials to composite materials, and many enterprises have participated in them. From initial verification to batch shipment, some enterprises have taken a solid step.

Benefiting from the huge market demand for photovoltaic, many people are optimistic about this potential market, and some even believe that this will be the next outlet for the industry.

In terms of frames, Zhejiang Deyilong and Wolai New Materials have already shipped in batches. Wolai has just achieved megawatt level shipments, while Deyilong is said to be approaching the 100 megawatt level.

According to institutional estimates, the global demand for aluminum frames in 2023-2025 will be 2.02/2.63/3.23 million tons, with corresponding market space of 46.8/60.9/74.6 billion yuan respectively.

Based on a 20% cost reduction for resin frames, the potential market space is 37.4 billion yuan, 48.6 billion yuan, and 59.6 billion yuan. That is, the potential market space for composite extruded frames will be 30-50 billion yuan per year.

 

 

 

 

Photovoltaic brackets

 

Unlike the frame, in addition to glass fiber, many companies choose basalt fiber as the reinforcement material for the bracket.

In October 2022, Weifang Zhongchuangxin Material Technology Co., Ltd. announced the successful development of the first basalt fiber photovoltaic bracket in China.

On March 5, 2023, Beijing Continuous Basalt Fiber Technology Co., Ltd. and China Energy Hua'an Big Data Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement on the production and supply order of basalt fiber photovoltaic support. Zhongneng Hua'an Company purchases 500 million yuan of various types of basalt fiber photovoltaic brackets from Beijing Basalt Company every year for the construction and development of photovoltaic projects.
